FROM ORGANIC HEIRLOOM OLIVES HANDPICKED ON OUR FIFTH-GENERATION FAMILY ESTATE
KAÏA is proudly and consciously produced from organic Chemlali olives handpicked early on our fifth generation Ben Romdane family estate in the central-eastern region of Mahdia, in Tunisia. Here at KAÏA, there are more than 50 women working during the harvest using traditional knowledge handed down from generation to generation.
THE PERFECT BALANCE OF BOLD & SMOOTH
Handpicked at the perfect level of maturity, just when they start blushing and turn purple, our olives offer a balanced but full of character olive oil, with vegetal and nutty notes and a slight kick of pepperiness at the end to leave you wanting more.
Perfect on salads, pasta, labneh, carpaccio, ice cream and everything in between.
REVIVING A LONG-HELD FAMILY TRADITION
Founder Sarah Ben Romdane's third great-grand-father was the first Tunisian to ever export local olive oil to the United States, where it won prizes. Our ancestors have been in relationship with this land since the 19th century, and we honour them by preserving that tradition.
